Mexico is a home to attractive patches of sand, crystal clear water and palm-lined stretches. It is an ideal destination to relax and enjoy wonderful views and a best beach destination. It is difficult to list down the best beaches in Mexico, however, I’ve tried:

Tulum: Ah, Tulum! One of the Ah, Tulum! One of the most beautiful beaches in the continent which actually stands up to its Spanish name of Heaven Beach. This small and secluded beach with long stretch of pristine white sand lined up with palm grooves, turquoise crystal-clear sea water and calm waves that creates the ideal beach vacation where one can relax and soak up the atmosphere. This tucked-away jewel of Mexico’s east coast is also a part of the world’s second biggest coral reef and lies in the shadow of the renowned Mayan ruins that have gained their own fame. Along the beach line, there are a plenty of cheap bars and restaurants and offers delicious food.

Cancun: It would be unfair to not to include Cancun in the list of best Mexican beaches. The vacation destination has some of Mexico’s gorgeous and best beaches that offers white fine powdery sand and crystal-clear turquoise water allows you to see through to the coral reefs, making a feeling of complete tranquility and peace. Cancun also holds its place in one of the world’s most famous entertainment destinations that has dozens of after-hour activities like golfing, jet skiing, snorkeling, whale watching, parasailing and nightlife. This strip of the resorts lined close together on white sand is full of different restaurants and shops that offers best nightlife, and different activities than any other resort destination in the country.

Playa del Carmen – Playa del Carmen is one of the top party beaches in Mexico famous for its liveliness in all of Mexico and usually bursting with locals and tourists. A beach with amazingly beautiful seaside attracts those who like to chill and relax. The clean sand and the calm water attracts many tourists to visit this place mainly holidaying Europeans and other sophisticated expats. Though Playa is growing too fast towards becoming the trendiest city, Playa del Carmen still looks like the sleepy fishermen’s village like it was before. One can enjoy multiple activities at the beach like football and volleyball and visit nearby tourist’s attractions including ruins, nature parks and cenotes. The place has wide selection of resorts, restaurants, clubs, shops and sidewalk cafes to party all night in full swing.

Akumal – Akumal also known as Land of the Turtles, is a small town that lies among Tulum and Playa del Carmen. The place is a home for green sea turtles along with tropical fish and some interesting plants species and attracts nature lovers. The beach looks strikingly beautiful with the palm-lined, the crystal-clear water, the long white sand patches and sunbathing areas. The place is perfect for swimming, diving, snorkeling and for relaxing as well.

Isla Mujeres – calm and Crystal turquoise clear water, cobblestone roads, long patches of white sandy beaches and rocky coves around perfectly defines the beauty of this place. Isla Mujeres also called as “The Island of Women” is less crowded and affordable place to hold the time and enjoy with nature. The waves are generally calm, so it is perfect place to enjoy swimming and snorkeling. While you are here, don’t forget to take a dive with sea turtles and swim with whale sharks. Amazing beachfront restaurants are available here.
